Academy Program

Philosophy

The Academy Program is for those players with the birth years 2009 - 2011 who seek individual soccer skills in a more structured environment. The Academy Program is designed to focus on the developmental needs of those who show heightened interest in soccer.

The Objectives/Benefits

  1. To provide quality coaching, NWISC staff and curriculum to match players’ ability.
  2. To increase player confidence and passion through knowledge and skills.
  3. The program will promote fun, developmental and educational training sessions for all players.

Coaching

The Academy Program is split up to a girls’ team and a boys’ team. Tracy Small is the head coach for the Girls’ Academy Program. Tracy currently holds a USSF ‘D’ coaching license. He has been involved with NWISC for over eight years. He is on the NWISC Board of Directors and is the facilities director. Scott Heide is the head coach for the Boys’ Academy Program. Scott is currently working towards his USSF ‘D’ coaching license. He has been involved with the NWISC recreational program for many years.

What the Program Offers

  • 2 training sessions a week for September, October, February, March, April, May & June
  • Academy T-shirt
  • British Club Soccer Camp (a week in June at Community State Bank Soccer Complex)
